Absolute Minimum Cabinet Coloration

Minimal baffle, sorbothane isolation, solid hardwood. Cabinet vibration virtually eliminated.

Every speaker cabinet vibrates. Those vibrations radiate sound — unwanted sound that colors the music. This is "cabinet coloration" and it's the reason careful listeners can often identify speakers with their eyes closed.

The Baffless approach minimizes this in three ways:

1. Minimal baffle area. Less surface means less radiation. Each driver gets the smallest baffle that maintains proper acoustic loading at its operating frequencies. Nothing more.

2. Solid hardwood construction. Not MDF, not plywood. Real hardwood has natural damping properties that synthetic materials lack. The internal grain structure breaks up standing waves that would ring in uniform materials.

3. Sorbothane isolation. Where the driver meets the baffle, sorbothane decouples mechanical vibration. The driver's motor energy goes into moving air, not shaking wood.

The result: tap the cabinet while music plays and you feel almost nothing. The sound comes from the drivers, not from the box. Because there essentially is no box.
